How much does speech therapy cost?
Our rate is $130 per hour for assessment and treatment sessions. All sessions are one-hour in length (50 minutes of direct client contact + 10 minutes of preparation, debrief with caregivers, and paperwork). Formal assessment reports may be written upon request. These will be billed at the regular rate of $130/hr.
Does insurance cover speech therapy?
Most extended health benefit plans include coverage for speech therapy when it is provided by a Registered Speech-Language Pathologist. Receipts will be provided for insurance purposes.
Canada Revenue Agency considers fees paid to a licensed private Speech-Language Pathologist to be a tax-deductible medical expense. Speech therapy services are also GST exempt.
